Chase Hansen of Lower Cape May Regional High School is the latest Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Male Athlete of the Week.

A sophomore on the wrestling team, Hansen has gotten off to a torrid start to the season for the Caper Tigers. He won tournament championships in the 138-pound weight class at both the Gator Tournament at Gateway Regional High School and the Marinelli Tournament at Egg Harbor Township High School, taking home Most Outstanding Wrestler awards at both events. Hansen has been equally dominant in dual matches, helping Lower to a 5-0 record heading into Thursday’s match with Hammonton. Hansen, who placed seventh in the state as a freshman, is unbeaten through 11 matches so far this season.
