NORTH WILDWOOD – A dominating stretch of play from late in the second quarter through midway through the third helped the Ocean City High School boys basketball team to a conference victory on the road Tuesday evening.

The Raiders reeled off a 21-5 run over the final minute of the second quarter into the midway point of the third in turning a one-point deficit into a 15-point advantage and eventually came away with a 58-46 victory.

Kori Segich and Pat Grimley combined for 13 of Ocean City’s 17 points in the third quarter, when the Raiders began to pull away.

Segich was held more than seven points below his season average but still managed to score a game-high 17 points. He also claimed 11 rebounds. LaBarre added 13, scoring 11 of them in the first half, and Grimley finished with 10.

Ocean City (11-1 overall, 6-1 Cape-Atlantic American) held Wildwood Catholic (5-9, 3-4) to one field goal in the third quarter and just five field goals in the second half, two of which were scored in the final minute.

Charlie Dunner (11 points) and Alex Daniel (10 points) each scored in double figures for Wildwood Catholic.
