Absegami pitcher silences Lower Cape May

ERMA – The Lower Cape May Regional High School baseball team ran into a pitcher throwing at his best Monday afternoon.

The Caper Tigers mustered just two hits and lost 7-0 to Absegami as Braves starter Michael Harless tossed 5 ? shutout innings.

A first-inning double by Hunter Ray and a sixth-inning infield single by Sean Kelleher accounted for Lower’s only hits.

Absegami (1-0) plated a run in the first inning, three in the third and one each in the sixth and seventh to account for its scoring.

Lower fell to 2-2 with the loss.

The teams are set to meet again on Tuesday in Galloway.
