Evan Shoffler of Lower Cape May Regional High School is the latest Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Male Athlete of the Week.

A senior on the baseball team, Shoffler went 3 for 5 with a home run, two doubles, six RBI and a run scored to help the Caper Tigers to a 13-7 win over Absegami last Tuesday. Shoffler is batting .400 so far this season, having recorded at least one hit in five of the team’s six games. He leads the team with 10 RBI.

Shoffler plays shortstop and pitches for Lower Cape May. He’ll enter next week 23 hits shy of 100 for his career.

A four-year starter with a .368 career batting average, Shoffler is set to play baseball at Division II Shippensburg University next scholastic year.
