Kirstyn McHale of the Cape May County Technical High School is the latest Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Female Athlete of the Week.

A senior on the cross country team, McHale has emerged as one of the top distance runners in the area. She placed second out of 41 finishers at the South Jersey Technical Athletic Conference championship meet last week. Earlier this week, McHale was her team’s top runner in a meet against Lower Cape May, Middle Township and ACIT. Earlier this fall, McHale finished fourth at the Big Five championship meet.

McHale is a two-time state championship meet qualifier, having placed among the top 15 finishers at the South Jersey Group I championships in each of the past two seasons.
