Catching up with former area high school athletes now competing at the college level:

Michael Zarfati (sophomore-Rowan football-MTHS) caught five passes for 82 yards and a touchdown to help the Profs to a 38-26 win over Montclair State last weekend. For the season, Zarfati leads Rowan in receptions with 19, receiving yards with 408 and touchdown receptions with six despite missing the first game of the season due to injury. Rowan (3-1-1 overall, 1-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference) hosts William Paterson on Saturday. …

Ciara DiMauro (junior-Clarion women’s soccer-MTHS) has played in 10 games, with nine starts, and leads the Golden Eagles in goals with five and assists with three. She had a goal and an assist in last week’s 7-2 loss to Gannon, the seventh-ranked team in the nation in Division II. Clarion (2-8-1 overall) hosts Pitt Johnston on Saturday. …

Kaydence Oakley (junior-Kean women’s soccer-WHS) played 62 minutes and recorded three shot attempts (two on goal) in a 3-2 win over New Jersey City University Saturday in a game in which the Cougars rallied from a two-goal deficit by scoring all three of their goals in the final 10 minutes. Oakley is one of five players to start all 12 games so far for Kean. She is third on the team with three goals, fourth on the team with 20 shot attempts and has also contributed one assist. Kean (7-4-1 overall, 2-2 NJAC) is next in action Wednesday at Rutgers-Newark. …

REAGAN FLICKINGER

Reagan Flickinger (freshman-Smith College soccer-WCA) has seen action in all 11 games, including 10 starts, for the Bears so far this season. Smith, a Division III school in Massachusetts, is 2-8-1 overall going into Wednesday’s game at Emerson College. …

Brett Nabb (senior-Eastern football-MTHS) completed 10-of-12 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown and also rushed 17 times for 82 yards in a 37-20 win over Delaware Valley last weekend. Earlier this season, Nabb was named Middle Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors after he threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 164 yards and two more scores in a 39-37 win over King’s College on Sept. 27. For the season, Nabb is 35 for 58 for 608 yards and five touchdowns passing and has rushed 81 times for 558 yards and four more touchdowns. Eastern (4-1 overall, 3-1 MAC) hosts Albright on Saturday. …

Gracie Repici (freshman-Immaculata women’s soccer-MTHS) is one of eight Mighty Mac players to start all 11 games so far this season. She leads the team in goals scored with three, points with nine and is tied for the team lead in assists with three. Repici posted a goal in the team’s most recent game, a 6-0 win over St. Elizabeth on Saturday. Immaculata (3-7-1 overall, 2-1 Atlantic East Conference) next plays Saturday at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. …

David Giulian (senior-The College of New Jersey football-MTHS), a linebacker, posted 11 tackles (nine solos), by far tops on the team, and one pass breakup to help the Lions to a 42-0 home win over William Paterson last weekend. Giulian, the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week in mid September, leads TCNJ with 44 tackles through five games. The Lions (4-1 overall, 1-1 NJAC) are next in action Saturday at Castleton (Vt.). … 

Maddie Gilbert (freshman-Kutztown tennis-LCMR) was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at second singles and teamed with Isabela de Nadai for a 6-1 win at first doubles to help Kutztown to a 6-1 win over Lock Haven in its most recent team competition. The Golden Bears are next in action Wednesday at home against Moravian. …

Keily Sanchez (freshman-Ramapo soccer-MTHS) has played in eight games, with seven starts, as a midfielder and has recorded one assist so far for the Roadrunners. Ramapo (5-5-2, 1-3 NJAC) hosts New Jersey City University on Wednesday. …

Steve Berrodin (junior-DeSales soccer-MTHS), a midfielder, has played in 12 of a possible 13 games so far for the Bulldogs. DeSales (3-8-2 overall, 0-1-1 MAC Freedom) next plays Saturday at Misericordia. …

Archie Lawler (junior-Carnegie Mellon football-LCMR) saw action on defense in last weekend’s 28-27 loss to Johns Hopkins, which is ranked third in the nation in Division III. The 17th-ranked Tartans held a 24-7 lead at the half before Johns Hopkins mounted a massive second-half comeback. Carnegie Mellon (3-2 overall) are next scheduled to host Gettysburg on Saturday. …

Colin Jastremski (freshman-Gwynedd Mercy soccer-MTHS) is one of five players to see action in all 13 games so far for the Griffins. The midfielder has recorded four shot attempts. Gwynedd Mercy (5-8 overall, 1-2 Atlantic East) hosts Neumann on Saturday. …

Olivia Sgrignioli (sophomore-Penn State Harrisburg-MTHS) has played in all 15 games so far, with 11 starts. She has posted four goals and two assists. Sgrignioli has posted points in each of her past two games, with an assist against Penn State Berks on Saturday and a goal against Penn College last Tuesday. PSU Harrisburg is scheduled to play at Messiah College Tuesday. …

HAILEY ELWELL

Hailey Elwell (sophomore-Immaculata tennis-LCMR) won a 6-1, 2-6, 11-9 decision at first singles to help the Mighty Macs to a 4-3 win over Lancaster Bible on Sept. 29. She also won 6-2, 6-1, at second singles and joined teammate Delaney Brown (senior-Immaculata tennis-LCMR) for a straight set win at first doubles to help the team to a 4-3 win over Kean. …

Maddie Groetsch (freshman-Eastern field hockey-LCMR), a forward, has seen action in three games so far for the Eagles and has recorded one shot on goal. Eastern (7-5 overall, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) plays at Alvernia on Wednesday. …

Eddie Hirsch (freshman-Eastern soccer-MTHS) has seen action in three games for the Eagles so far. Eastern (3-8-1, 0-2 MAC Commonwealth) is next in action Tuesday at home against Washington College. …
