Brock Zurawski (junior-Rider wrestling-LCMR) won by a 16-1 technical fall and by fall in the third period to help the Broncs to a 28-14 win over Edinboro and a 20-19 win over Princeton on Saturday. Rider (8-4 overall, 3-0 Mid-American Conference) is next in action Friday at George Mason. …
Kaitlyn Crouthamel (junior-Rowan swimming-LCMR) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season recently. She was selected after winning four individual events and being a part of two winning relay teams in a victory over The College of New Jersey. Crouthamel won the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 1000 freestyle and 400 individual medley and was part of the first-place 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay teams. …
Imene Fathi (senior-Stockton basketball-WHS) posted 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals in the Ospreys’ 60-51 loss to nationally ranked William Paterson on Saturday. For the season, Fathi is second on the team at 9.4 points per game, is tied for the team lead in assists with 47 and is second on the team in steals with 34. She leads the team in three-point field goals with 22, in three-point percentage among those with at least 10 attempts at 38.6 percent and in free-throw percentage at 75.8 percent. Stockton (10-8 overall, 7-4 New Jersey Athletic Conference) is next in action Wednesday at The College of New Jersey. …
Justin Harper (junior-Stockton basketball-WCA) recorded 13 points, six rebounds and five assists to help the Ospreys to a 77-56 win over William Paterson. For the season, Harper leads the Ospreys in scoring at 14.5 points per game. He also leads the team with 31 three-point baskets. Harper is also averaging 4.7 rebounds and is second on the team with 36 assists. Teammate Anthony Trombetta (sophomore-Stockton basketball-MTHS) played 10 minutes and contributed an assist and a steal in the win over William Paterson. Trombetta has played in six games and is averaging 2.5 points. Riley Powell (freshman-Stockton basketball-WCA) has also been a contributor for the Ospreys, seeing action in 11 games. He’s averaging 2.1 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest. Stockton (11-7 overall, 8-3 NJAC) is next in action Wednesday at TCNJ. …
Carly Murphy (junior-Swarthmore basketball-WCA) is third on the team in scoring at 7.5 points per game. She’s also averaging 5.2 rebounds and is second on the team in blocked shots with 13. Murphy has started in 14 of the team’s 16 games so far. Swarthmore (5-11 overall, 2-6 Centennial Conference) is next in action Wednesday at Ursinus. …

Lindsay Holden (senior-Neumann basketball-LCMR) scored three points, dished five assists and recorded two rebounds and two steals in the Knights’ 72-66 loss to Centenary on Saturday. Teammate Hannah Cappelletti (sophomore-Neumann basketball-MTHS) saw two minutes of action in the contest. Holden is one of two Neumann players to start all 17 of the team’s games so far this season. She’s averaging 6.2 points, leads the team with 21 three-point baskets and is tied for first on the team in assists with 39. Cappelletti has played in all 17 games and is averaging 1.5 points per outing. Neumann (4-13 overall, 2-4 Atlantic East Conference) is next in action Wednesday at Pratt Institute. …
Kimmy Casiello (senior-Widener basketball-WCA) posted four points and four assists in the Pride’s 91-76 win over Stevenson on Saturday. Teammate Mia Elisano (junior-Widener basketball-MTHS) saw two minutes of action but did not score. Casiello is one of four players to start every game so far and is averaging 3.3 points per game. She is second on the team in assists with 49. Elisano has seen action in nine games and is averaging 1.2 points and 1.2 rebounds. Widener (13-4 overall, 4-2 MAC Commonwealth) next plays Wednesday at York. …
Macie McCracken (freshman-West Chester basketball-WHS) scored 17 points, collected five rebounds and dished three assists and Marianna Papazoglou (graduate student-West Chester-WCA) scored 15 points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked four shots in a recent 71-59 win over Shepherd. McCracken leads the Rams in scoring at 10.3 points per game and in three-point field goals with 22. She is shooting 75.9 percent from the foul line. Papazoglou is second on the team in scoring at 9.3 points per game and in rebounding at 5.0 per game and leads the team in blocked shots with 15. She is shooting 78.6 percent from the foul line. West Chester (9-8 overall, 5-6 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) is next in action Thursday at East Stroudsburg. …
Kaci Mikulski (sophomore-Jefferson basketball-WCA) played two minutes and picked up a steal in a 59-52 victory over Felician on Saturday. For the season, she’s seen action in 15 games and is averaging 1.8 points per game. Jefferson (13-6 overall, 7-4 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference) is next scheduled to play Wednesday at Wilmington. …
McKenzie Palek (freshman-Felician basketball-MTHS) had seven points, three assists and two steals in a 59-52 loss to Jefferson on Saturday. Keith Palek III (senior-MIssouri State-Woodbine resident) posted eight points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals to help the Bears to a 62-57 win over UTEP Saturday. Palek, a graduate of St. Augustine Prep who previously played at Division II California University of Pennsylvania, leads the team in scoring at 17.9 points per game, in rebounding at 7.0 per game and assists at 3.7 per game. He’s also tied for the team lead with 23 steals. Missouri State (12-8 overall, 6-3 Conference USA) next plays Wednesday at home against Sam Houston. …
Amir Elston (freshman-Rowan Cumberland basketball-MTHS) has played in 11 games, with eight starts, and is averaging 4.1 points per game. The Dukes are 7-12 overall, 6-7 in the Garden State Athletic Conference. They next play Tuesday at home against Rowan Gloucester. …
Junior Hans (sophomore-Centenary basketball-WHS) scored five points and recorded two rebounds in 10 minutes of play in the Cyclones’ 86-70 loss to Neumann on Saturday. He’s averaging 3.6 points per game this season. Centenary (5-12 overall, 3-3 Atlantic East Conference) is next in action Wednesday at St. Elizabeth. …
Jamir McNeil (freshman-Rider basketball-MTHS) played eight minutes but did not score in the Broncs’ 71-61 loss to Mt. St. Mary’s on Saturday. McNeil has seen action off the bench in all 19 games so far and is averaging 1.4 points per game. Rider (2-17 overall, 1-9 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) next plays Friday at Manhattan.
Taj Thweatt (senior-Coppin State basketball-WCA) had eight points and five rebounds in 16 minutes of action in a 103-76 loss to Norfolk State on Saturday. One game earlier, he registered nine points, six rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes in a 70-67 loss to Maryland Eastern Shore. For the season, Thweatt is averaging 6.1 points and 4.6 rebounds for the Falcons.
