STONE HARBOR – It took six games, but the Lower Cape May Regional High School boys soccer team finally gave up a goal.

The conceded tally didn’t prevent the Caper Tigers from remaining unbeaten, however.

Stephen Lutjen and Darin Dyakov each accounted for goals as Lower Cape May slipped past Wildwood Catholic Academy, 2-1, in an important Cape-Atlantic United Conference contest Monday.

All of the scoring was done in the second half.

Lower improved to 5-0-1, both overall and in CAL United games. Wildwood Catholic, which got its goal from Andrew Catanoso, dropped to 3-2-1, both overall and in conference play.

Lower Cape May has now outscored its opponents by a 17-1 margin.

Lower faces another key CAL United game on Wednesday when it hosts Wildwood. Wildwood Catholic has a CAL United game at home with Holy Spirit the same day.
