VIDEO, PHOTOS: Lower Cape May’s second-half rally falls short

ERMA – The Lower Cape May Regional High School boys lacrosse team couldn’t overcome a slow start in its home opener Monday afternoon.
The Caper Tigers fell behind by five goals at 6-1, went on to rally in the second half but ultimately lost, 10-8, to Holy Spirit.
Jake Robson scored three goals and posted an assist while also scooping six ground balls to pace the Lower Cape May offense. Ryan Gibson added two goals and an assist and Macky Bonner and Brandon Loper each contributed a goal and two assists. Corson Hughes chipped in a goal and Dennis Serra had an assist for Lower (2-2).
Anthony Hermenau led Holy Spirit (4-1) with four goals.
Ty Bonner stopped six shots in goal for Lower.
Lower next plays Wednesday at home against Egg Harbor Township.
