VIDEO: LCM girls rally, Wildwood boys roll at Boardwalk Classic

The Lower Cape May Regional High School girls team and the Wildwood boys team were winners at the Boardwalk Basketball Classic on Tuesday.

The following are recaps of Tuesday Boardwalk Basketball Classic games involving local teams:

GIRLS

Lower Cape May 41, Hammonton 33: Lower trailed by as many as seven points in the second half but closed with a flourish, outscoring the Blue Devils 21-6 in the fourth quarter to get the win in the Big Al Nerenberg Memorial Showcase Game. Hailey Elwell tallied 13 points and Kaitlyn McGuigan added 10 points for the Lady Tigers (3-1). 

BOYS

Wildwood 62, Cape May Tech 29: Wildwood jumped out to a 25-7 lead after one quarter and never looked back in the Bernie McCracken Memorial Boys Bracket semifinal game. Junior Hans netted 13 points and Brian Cunniff chipped in 11 for the Warriors (3-2), who will face Bridgeton in the bracket title game Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Eleven different players scored for Wildwood, which shot 20 for 24 from the free-throw line. Ben Lynch scored 12 points for Cape May Tech (0-5).
