Ava Vogdes of Wildwood Catholic Academy is the latest Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Female Athlete of the Week.

A senior forward/center on the school’s girls basketball team, Vogdes recently collected her 500th career rebound in a 70-38 victory over Atlantic City last week. She posted a double-double in the contest, collecting 11 points and 10 rebounds.

For the season, Vogdes averages 5.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game for the Crusaders, who took a record of 17-1 into Tuesday’s matchup against Mainland.

Vogdes is a three-sport athlete at Wildwood Catholic. She has also played soccer and is a member of the spring track and field team.
