Adelizzi wins 100th as Middle downs Woodstown

Middle Township's Max Adelizzi celebrates the 100th victory of his career with his parents, Fran and Stacy.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Max Adelizzi provided the highlight as the Middle Township High School wrestling team won for the eighth time in nine dual matches so far this season on Wednesday.

Adelizzi, a senior, scored a pin in 48 seconds in the 190-pound bout to record the 100th win of his career in the Panthers’ 49-25 win over Woodstown. He ran his individual record to 16-1 on the season.

Calvin Parke (106), Ben Banks (113), R.J. Garden (138), Tyler King (144) and Connor Rowlands (150) also each won by fall for Middle. Jerry Booth (132) and Noah Nagle won decisions for the Panthers.

Middle is next in action Saturday at the 18-team Buc Classic tournament at Red Bank Regional.
