Shawn Watkins of Middle Township High School is the latest Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Male Athlete of the Week.

A senior on the wrestling team, Watkins is in the midst of an excellent season for the Panthers. Wrestling at 215 pounds, Watkins has posted a record of 21-1 through last weekend.

In recent action, Watkins won by technical fall against Lower Cape May on Jan. 22 before winning by technical against Haddon Heights and by 10-5 decision against Timber Creek on Saturday.

Watkins has placed first in three tournaments this season, winning titles at the Hammonton Kickoff Tournament, Palmyra Christmas Tournament and the Buc Classic.
