VIDEO, PHOTOS: Robson hits scoring milestone as Lower Cape May gets past Middle Township

Jake Robson became the latest Lower Cape May Regional High School boys lacrosse player to surpass the century mark Thursday evening.

The senior midfielder scored three goals to increase his total to 101 for his career in leading the Caper Tigers to an 8-5 win over county rival Middle Township.

The three goals left Robson with 21 for the season. He scored 35 in each of his sophomore and junior seasons after netting 10 as a freshman.

Robson also added an assist.

Zac Castellano, Chase Austin, Ryan Gibson, Cole Lewis and Dennis Serra also scored for Lower Cape May (7-9).

Castellano also made a major impact in other areas of the game, going an incredible 17 for 17 in faceoff victories while also scooping 15 ground balls. He also provided two assists, as did Gibson.

Ty Bonner was solid in goal for Lower by stopping more than half of Middle’s shots on goal. He was credited with seven saves.

Eddie Hirsch scored three goals, Jacob Rossi-Friend added two goals, Micah McAnaney added two assists and Chase Castellano picked up five ground balls for Middle Township (13-2).
