VIDEO: Middle wrestles to victory in home opener

The Middle Township High School wrestling team posted a solid victory Friday in its season opener, taking down Absegami, 48-25.

Calvin Parke (106), Dontae Kelly (132), Tyler King (157), R.J. Attenborough (165) and Nate McCrone (Hwt.) each won by fall for the Panthers. Mikey Layer (126) and Connor Hagan (215) each earned victories by decision. Noah Nagle (175) and Angel Garcia (190) were winners by forfeit.

King, Attenborough and Nagle each remained unbeaten with their respective results. Each is 5-0. Hagan moved to 4-1.

Middle, which improved to 2-0 with the win, will  compete in the Hammonton Kickoff Tournament on Saturday.
