Middle produces three champions in second-place effort at Hammonton tournament

Middle Township's Calvin Parke, Tyler King and R.J. Attenborough were each champions at the Hammonton Kickoff Tournament.

Middle Township High School’s wrestling team produced three championship and eight medal winners en route to a second-place finish at the Hammonton Kickoff Tournament Saturday.

Middle’s Calvin Parke (106), Tyler King (150 and R.J. Attenborough (165) each emerged as champions of their respective weight classes. Parke and Attenborough are two-time champions of the event.

Middle’s Connor Hagan (190) and Nate McCrone (Hwt.) each reached championship matches and finished second. Mike Layer (126), Dontae Kelly (132) and Robert Hodges (215) won consolation finals to place third. Fourth-place finishes went to Landon Shivers (113), Ben Banks (120) and Noah Nagle (175).

Middle scored 186.5 points to finish second behind team champion Seneca (194). A total of eight teams participated.
