Ryan Mallon of Lower Cape May Regional High School is the latest MudHen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Male Athlete of the Week.

A junior on the boys basketball team, Mallon has scored in double figures in six of his last seven games for a team that has won seven of its last eight games.

Mallon had 16 points, four rebounds and four assists in Saturday’s win over Wildwood and posted 15 points and three rebounds in a recent win over Wildwood Catholic.

For the season, Mallon is averaging 10.4 points per game for a Caper Tiger team that entered midweek at 12-3.

Mallon was also a key player for the school’s football team in the fall, rushing for nearly 900 yards and recording 12 total touchdowns for a Caper Tiger team that won a division title and a state playoff game for the first time in program history.
