Trevor Troiano of Wildwood High School is the latest MudHen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Male Athlete of the Week.

A junior on the baseball team, Troiano was one of the standout players at the Southern Cape Strike Out Cancer Classic tournament last weekend. He went 6 for 14 with six runs scored, six RBI, two triples and his first career home run to help lead Wildwood to an appearance in the tournament championship game. On the mound, he also struck out 11 batters against only one walk and three hits in a complete-game win over Lower Cape May in the tournament semifinal.

Troiano also set a new program record for hits in a season during the tournament. He entered this week with 46 hits, eclipsing the record of 44 set by Chris Mormile in 2014.

Troiano is batting .484 with 14 extra-base hits, a program-record 48 runs scored, 32 RBI and 27 stolen bases. On the mound, he’s 4-3 with a 3.00 earned run average.
