CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – A dominating effort led the Middle Township High School girls soccer team to its first victory of the season Monday afternoon at the Boyd Street Field.
Middle scored four first-half goals en route to a rather comfortable 5-1 win over Vineland.
Izzy Miller led the way with her second career hat trick, scoring all three of her goals in the opening half. Miller also scored three times in a win over Millville last season.
Gabby Oliver and Piper Menz also scored for Middle (1-2). Zoe Super contributed two assists, with Oliver, Ainsley Frederick and Charlotte Kosmin also chipping in one helper apiece.
Alli Nagle made seven saves in goal.
Middle is next in action Wednesday at Our Lady of Mercy Academy.
