PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Kai Lindsay                             Senior                 Ocean City                         Midfield

Considered by many to be the most dynamic player in the Cape-Atlantic League, Lindsay scored nine goals and dished six assists. Lindsay was at the heart of just about everything the Raiders executed both offensively and defensively as a tremendous two-way player. A team captain for the second straight season. First team CAL all-star and South Jersey Coaches Association All-South Jersey selection.

FIRST TEAM

Deron Azile                                  Senior                     Lower Cape May               Forward

Hard worker with tremendous athleticism and speed. Scored a team-best nine goals in 2023. A three-time Cape Express Cape May County all-star selection. Competed for Dominica U17 national team in the summer of 2022 as an outside back.

Ryan Cruz                                    Junior                      Wildwood                          Forward

Scored 10 goals for Warriors, mostly out of a forward position, but also occasionally lined up as a center midfielder. Also posted four assists.

Charlie Dunner                            Senior                     Wildwood Catholic           Forward

Determined, strong player who had a hand in most of the offense for the Crusaders this fall. Scored 16 goals and passed six assists. 

Wade Hudak                                Senior                     Ocean City                         Forward

One of the best goal scorers in the CAL, posting 22 tallies to go with four assists. Extremely intelligent player. First team CAL all-star and an All-South Jersey selection by the South Jersey Coaches Association.

Tommy Shagren                           Senior                     Middle Township              Forward/MF

Posted five goals and five assists. Three-year starter with good pace who could perform well in a variety of offensive positions.

Gavin Burns                                  Junior                    Wildwood                          Midfield

Technically gifted player and a ruthless finisher who recorded 13 goals and five assists. Performed at his best in key moments.

Eddie Hirsch                                 Junior                      Middle Township              Midfield

Led Middle with five goals. Technically talented player with excellent 1-v-1 skills.

Colin Jastremski                          Junior                      Middle Township              Midfield

Outstanding defensive player from the midfield position. Three-year starter.

Kelan Miller                                   Junior                      Wildwood                          Midfield

Terrific engineer for the Warriors who posted 12 goals and nine assists. Technically gifted and a tremendous distributor.

Joe Berrodin                                 Junior                      Middle Township              Back

One of the top defenders in the CAL. Strong on ball and excellent in the air.

Colin Bowman                              Senior                      Ocean City                         Back

Strong defender with good distribution skills from the back. Recorded four assists.

Matt James                                   Senior                     Ocean City                         Back

One of the key players on one of the CAL’s best defensive units.

Dan Leiser                                    Senior                     Ocean City                         Back

A top defender with the ability to go forward when presented opportunities. Posted a goal and four assists.

Anthony Videtto                           Senior                     Ocean City                         Back

Good on balls in the air. Rounded out one of the CAL’s top defensive units.

Athletic goalkeeper with high soccer IQ. Stopped three of four penalty kick chances. Good distributor from the back. First team CAL all-star.
