Hailey Elwell of Lower Cape May Regional High School is the latest Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Female Athlete of the Week.

A senior on the girls basketball team, Elwell helped the Lady Tigers to a pair of victories at the Boardwalk Basketball Classic in Wildwood last week. She scored six of her team-high 13 points in the fourth quarter to help Lower rally from a seven-point third-quarter deficit to beat Hammonton, 41-33, before knocking down five three-pointers and scoring a game-high 17 points in a 42-27 win over Delsea. Elwell is averaging 11.2 points per game so far for Lower, which took a 4-1 record into today’s game with Cape May Tech.
