Julia Wallace of Wildwood Catholic Academy is the latest Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Female Athlete of the Week.

A shortstop on the softball team, slugged an inside-the-park grand slam to help the Crusaders to a 15-14 extra-inning win over county rival Cape May Tech last week.

Wallace, a junior, has emerged as one of the top players in the area. She is batting a team-best .556 while also leading the Crusaders in hits with 25, runs scored with 17, doubles with three, stolen bases with 12 and walks with eight. She’s also second on the team in RBI with 11.
