The Lower Cape May wrestling program enjoyed a momentous occasion Saturday morning.
The Caper Tigers dominated a tri-match at home, beating Cedar Creek, 77-6, and shutting out Toms River North, 82-0. Lower won a dual match for the 600th time in program history in the process.
The results continued a strong run of success for Lower Cape May, which improved to 11-1 in dual matches so far this season.
Landon Shivers (106), Bryce Paley (113), Cade Heacock (120), Connor Barikian (126), Billy Whitney (132), Chase Hansen (144), Danny Byrne (150), Gabe Tosto (157), Shane Morrell (165) and David Douglass (175) each won two matches for Lower Cape May. Dennis Serra (190) and John Hearon (215) each wrestled to victory and picked up a forfeit win and Dom Marrero (138) won once.
Lower Cape May is next in action Wednesday against rival Middle Township.
