Riley Powell of Wildwood Catholic Academy is the latest Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Male Athlete of the Week.

A senior on the boys basketball team, Powell helped Middle reach the championship game of the Cape-Atlantic League Tournament by posting 21 points and 11 rebounds in a 62-58 semifinal victory over Atlantic City. He then had 14 points and 11 rebounds in the CAL title game loss to St. Augustine Prep.

For the season, Powell is averaging 16.8 points and 12.0 rebounds per game after becoming eligible in mid January after sitting out due to NJSIAA transfer rules. He has posted 13 double-doubles in points and rebounds for the Crusaders.
