Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Female Athlete of the Week: Carmen O’Hara, Middle Township

Carmen O’Hara of Middle Township High School is the latest Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Female Athlete of the Week.

A senior on the girls lacrosse team, O’Hara posted six goals and two assists in a recent win over rival Lower Cape May. She enters the team’s state playoff game this week with 94 goals, far and away tops in the Cape-Atlantic League this season. She also has 21 assists, putting her atop the CAL in points with 115. Her 93 draw controls are tied for fourth in the league. O’Hara has 195 career goals and 55 career assists.

O’Hara has also been a major contributor to Middle’s girls soccer team as a four-year varsity player. She played at center back last fall and scored three goals.

O’Hara is set to attend James Madison University in the fall.
