Catching up with former area high school athletes now competing at the college level:
Hunter Ray (freshman-FDU baseball-LCMR) finished his first collegiate season with a .292 batting average and a 1.007 OPS, both good for second on the team. He tied for the team lead in home runs with eight while also posting seven doubles, 29 runs scored, 21 RBI and 10 stolen bases. Ray, who played in 41 of a possible 53 games (31 starts), was named the NEC Rookie of the Week on May 13. FDU finished 16-37 overall, 16-14 in conference play. …
Gabby Cruz (freshman-Misericordia softball-MTHS) appeared in 22 games, with 12 starts, as a pitcher and posted a record of 9-4 with an earned run average of 2.36. She struck out 66 batters against 27 walks. Her win total tied for the team lead and her four saves were tops on the team. At the plate, Cruz hit .462 with six hits in 13 at bats. Misericordia finished 29-14 and reached the Mid-Atlantic Conference Freedom title game in 2025. …
Alex Hunt (graduate student-Old Dominion baseball-Wildwood Crest resident) tied for second on the team with 22 pitching appearances, all in relief, and went 5-0 with a 5.21 earned run average. The St. Augustine Prep graduate struck out 20 in 19 innings pitched. ODU finished 22-31 overall, 15-15 in the Sun Belt Conference. …
Tessa Hueber (freshman-Chatham lacrosse-LCMR) led the Cougars in goals with 54, points with 77, shots with 111, shots on goal with 83 and draw controls with 80. She was named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year, was a second team PAC all-star selection and was selected to the PAC all-tournament team. Hueber was named the conference’s Newcomer of the Week three times during the 2025 season. Chatham, a Division III program in western Pennsylvania, finished 11-7 overall, 7-2 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. …
Ryan Salinsky (freshman-Montclair State lacrosse-LCMR) appeared in five games as a defender for the Red Hawks. Montclair State finished 9-7 overall after falling to Rowan in the New Jersey Athletic Conference semifinal round. …
JULIA GIBSON
Julia Gibson (junior-Stockton lacrosse-LCMR) was one of seven players to start all 17 games and led the Ospreys in assists with 27 and points with 66 while finishing third on the team in goals with 39. She was named Osprey of the Week during the first week of April after recording four goals and three assists in a win over Kean. Teammate Brianna Robinson (graduate student-Stockton lacrosse-MTHS) made 16 appearances with 15 starts and posted 14 goals, tied for sixth on the team. Stockton finished 11-6 overall, 2-3 in New Jersey Athletic Conference games. …
Delaney Brown (junior-Immaculata tennis-LCMR) and Hailey Elwell (freshman-Immaculata tennis-LCMR) were both key members of the Mighty Macs’ team during the 2025 season. Elwell won her fourth singles match in straight sets and Brown teamed with Pam Kontaras for a win at first doubles in the team’s season-ending win over Marymount. …
Maggie Boyle (sophomore-Indiana University of Pennsylvania lacrosse) appeared in 16 games, with 12 starts, and finished fourth on the team in goals with 19. She also scooped 12 ground balls and posted six caused turnovers. IUP finished 6-11 overall, 4-6 in the Division II Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. …
Giacomo Antonicello (senior-Rutgers-Camden baseball-WCHS) appeared in 23 games, with 11 starts, during the 2025 season for the Scarlet Raptors. He batted .200 with 10 runs scored and seven RBI. Teammate Mason Blizzard (freshman-Rutgers-Camden baseball-MTHS) saw action in eight games, with three starts, and had two hits in 13 at bats. Another teammate, Tanner Oliva (freshman-Rutgers-Camden baseball-CMTHS), pitched in two games and posted a 4.50 earned run average. Rutgers-Camden finished 30-17 overall and won the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament. The team went on to win one of three games in the NCAA Division III Tournament. …

Evan Shoffler (freshman-Shippensburg baseball-LCMR) played in 42 of a possible 50 games, with 40 starts, and batted .323 with seven doubles, a triple, 22 RBI and 20 runs scored. Shippensburg finished 28-22 overall, 15-13 in the Division II Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. …
Matthew Frame (sophomore-Immaculata lacrosse-MTHS) saw action in 10 games as an attacker during the 2025 season and scored four goals while dishing three assists. Teammate Danny Brady (freshman-Immaculata lacrosse-MTHS) appeared in nine games as a defender and recorded one assist. Immaculata finished the season at 14-6 overall and won the Atlantic East Conference Tournament with a 15-12 victory over Marymount before losing in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. …
Jenna O’Neill (junior-Rowan lacrosse-LCMR) started all 20 games for the Profs as a defender and recorded 25 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. Rowan finished 16-4 overall and qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament, in which it beat Western Connecticut in the opening round before falling to Wesleyan. …
Maddyn McAnaney (freshman-Salisbury lacrosse-MTHS) appeared in six games as a defender. Salisbury won the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Tournament before winning a pair of games in the NCAA Division III Tournament. Salisbury finished at 16-5 overall after falling 8-7 to No. 1-ranked Tufts in the Regional Final. …
Kody Lewis (freshman-Georgian Court baseball-LCMR) saw action in 15 games, with eight starts. He batted .250 with eight hits in 32 at bats and posted 11 RBI. Georgian Court finished 8-38 overall. …
Kristina McClain (junior-Ramapo lacrosse-LCMR) started all 13 games as a defender for the Roadrunners for the 2025 season. She recorded 12 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. Ramapo finished the season at 5-8 overall, 0-5 in the
New Jersey Athletic Conference. …

Macky Bonner (freshman-Ursinus lacrosse-LCMR) saw action in 14 of a possible 15 games in his debut season for the Bears. He registered three assists, 16 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. Ursinus finished the season at 5-10 overall, 3-5 in the Centennial Conference. …
Morgan Delaney (junior-Lebanon Valley lacrosse-MTHS) saw action in 13 of a possible 20 games as a defender and posted five ground balls and five caused turnovers. Lebanon Valley ended the season at 14-6 overall, 6-1 in the MAC Freedom Conference. …
Jackson Brown (freshman-Holy Family lacrosse-LCMR) played in all 16 games, with 13 starts, and registered three assists, 43 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. Holy Family finished at 9-7 overall, 3-5 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. …
Devon Bock (sophomore-Ursinus track & field-MTHS) finished fifth in the decathlon at the Centennial Conference Championships in early May. He placed third in the 110 hurdles, 400-meter and 1,500-meter races during the decathlon competition. …
Abbie Teefy (freshman-TCNJ lacrosse-MTHS) saw action in all 19 games off the bench and recorded nine goals and five assists to go along with 10 ground balls. TCNJ finished 14-5 overall and won the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament title game, 16-12, over Rowan before losing in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. …

Mike Adelizzi (junior-Penn State Abington-MTHS), a pitcher, made six appearances (two starts) for the Lions. He struck out eight in 11.1 innings pitched. Teammate Ben Harris (junior-Penn state Abington-MTHS), also a pitcher, made one appearance during the 2025 season. Penn State Abington finished 17-20 overall, 9-7 in the United East Conference. …
Lily Vogel (freshman-Albright softball-MTHS) saw action in seven games, with three starts, this spring. Albright finished 4-23 overall, 0-14 in the MAC Commonwealth Conference. …
Reilly Deschenes (sophomore-Stockton rowing-MTHS) and Emily Little (junior-Stockton rowing-WHS) were each members of the crew team for the Ospreys. Deschenes competed for Stockton’s second varsity eight at the Dad Vail Regatta after helping the second varsity eight to a third-place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championships
