CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE -- The tenor of Thursday's high school boys soccer game suggested that one goal might win it.
Bridgeton was the team that got it.
After a first half that featured very little in the way of true scoring chances, the Bulldogs scored tallied 12 minutes into the second half and held on to the finish to secure a 1-0 win over Middle Township.
The game began nearly an hour after the scheduled 4 p.m. start as visiting Bridgeton endured transportation issues and didn't arrive at the Boyd Street Field until after 4:30 p.m.
Middle and Bridgeton, both members of the Cape-Atlantic National Conference, exited the contest with identical 1-1 records.
