Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Female Athlete of the Week: Olivia Orton, Middle Township

Olivia Orton of Middle Township High School is the latest Mudhen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Female Athlete of the Week.

A senior on the cross country team, Orton finished in eighth place in the South Jersey Group I championship meet at DREAM Park in Logan Township earlier this month. Her placement led Middle to a fifth-place team finish, qualifying the Lady Panthers for the state championship meet. Orton went on to place 35th out of 145 finishers at the state meet held at Holmdel Park.

Orton previously finished fourth at the Cape May County Championships mid October and was the winner of the Big Five Championships in mid September.

Orton led Middle Township to the Cape-Atlantic National Conference championship this fall. The team went unbeaten in dual meets.
