NORTH WILDWOOD – The Lower Cape May Regional High School softball team used a 20-hit attack to earn a victory over a local rival in its season opener Monday.

Emma Koerner, Raegan Notch and Leks Domanowski each posted four hits to lead an offensive explosion by the Lady Tigers as they posted a 20-8 victory over Wildwood Catholic.

Koerner went 4 for 4 with a double, triple, five RBI and four runs scored; Notch went 4 for 5 with a triple and four RBI; Domanowski went 4 for 4 with a long solo home run to center field to pace the Lady Tiger attack.

Lower ran out to an 11-0 lead after 2 ½ innings before Wildwood Catholic rallied with five runs in the bottom of the third inning to get back into the game. But Lower scored twice in the fourth and seven times in the fifth to pull away.

Abby Vessels had a hit and two RBI to lead Wildwood Catholic (1-1).
