ERMA – Two rival high school girls lacrosse teams came together to produce a terrific game Friday evening, with Lower Cape May outlasting Middle Township, 10-7.
Nora Shoffler scored four times and Greta Shepanski, Ainsley Reed and Brooke Robinson added two goals apiece to pace Lower Cape May to the victory. Shepanski and Reed each added assists.
Taylor Stiteler was credited with the win in goal, stopping five shots. Reilly Satt also saw time in net for Lower Cape May (8-6).
Natalie Stoltz posted three goals and an assist Izzy Miller scored twice and Layla Hagan and Casey Day each chipped in a goal for Middle Township (6-6).
Lea Kern made six saves in goal in the loss.
Lower Cape May coach JoAnn McLaughlin, in her ninth season in charge, won her 100th career game with the result.
