MudHen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Male Athlete of the Week: Jamar Mack, Middle Township

Jamar Mack of Middle Township High School is the latest MudHen Brewing Company/CapeAtlanticLive.com Male Athlete of the Week.

A junior on the Panther track team, Mack finished in first place in the 800-meter run at the Cape-Atlantic League track and field championships last weekend at Buena Regional High School. His time of 2:00.19 was just a tick below the school record time of 2:00.10 set by Shaun Blake 24 years ago.

Mack, who also recently placed second in the 1600 at the Cape May County championships, is also an outstanding cross country runner. He has won the Big Five meet in each of his first three high school seasons. Last fall, he led Middle to the CAL National Conference championship while also qualifying for the state Group II championship meet.
