In its first season back in the Cape-Atlantic League in 25 years, the Wildwood High School girls soccer team has won a conference championship.

The Lady Warriors clinched a share of the CAL United Conference title Friday afternoon with a 5-1 win at Buena.

Wildwood shares the title with Atlantic County Institute of Technology. Both teams finished conference play with identical 11-1 records. The teams split their two meetings with each other, with each contest decided by one goal.

There was little drama in the game against Buena as Wildwood scored the game’s first five goals. Nayara Alves led the offense with two goals and an assist. Ellasyn Morey, Mollie Farrell and Evelyn Clarke also scored goals. Julia Ennis chipped in two assists and Whitney Macrina also added an assist.

Addison Troiano made nine stops in goal.

Wildwood (16-2), a program that features just three seniors, finished the regular season on a 12-game winning streak.
