
CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Those associated with the boys lacrosse program at Middle Township High School boys lacrosse program had an extra reason to celebrate following a victory Wednesday afternoon in the Hall’s Carpet Care Game of the Week.
The Panthers beat Vineland, 15-2, but the major story of the day was senior Tommy Shagren breaking a nine-year-old program record by recording his 139th career assist. The previous record of 138 was set by Jack Denis in 2015.
Further game statistics were not immediately available.
Middle snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 3-5 with the victory.
